My wonderful wife, with every bit of regret, kept her word.
Last November we made a pact: If I found a new, higher paying job, I could get a MacBook.
Come December, I started my new position at The Sports Authority and the rest is history.
Marta kept her part of the bargain and purchased my new, wonderful MacBook from Amazon.com about two weeks ago.
It took me the better part of a day, but I'm back in the swing things. Marta has even used it a couple of times, albeit complaining the entire time about the differences between her Vista laptop and the OS X Leopard features.
For those of you who didn't know: I grew up using Apple computers. All the way back in elementary school, learning how to program Basic on Apple IIe to using the Macintosh when they first came out in middle school all the way through high school. I honestly did not touch or even see a Microsoft Windows computer until about my sophomore year in high school, and even then only played the occasional computer game on it. (Ah, that famous "Doom" game. Anybody remember that? Wow, that was a long time ago!)
